Speaker Series Committee
Help us plan our signature education and networking events, held every other month.
Jobs include: selecting program topics, identifying potential speakers, reviewing speaker credentials, selecting final speakers, reviewing speakers’ presentations before the meetings, helping with publicity, developing and printing the program agenda, writing e-zine articles to cover the events, logistics, and serving as emcee.

Proposal Basics Boot Camp Committee
Help us plan and manage our annual full-day training conference for new proposal professionals and those who need a “best practices” refresher. This spring program includes three education tracks for proposal coordinators, managers, and writers.
Jobs include: developing the program and selecting speaker topics for the three tracks, reviewing presentations, mentoring speakers, creating event publicity, selecting facilities and catering service, planning event logistics, providing logistics support the day of the event, developing the project plan for the event, and assisting in overall management.

Mid-Atlantic Proposal Conference & Expo Committee
Help us plan and coordinate our annual full-day education event for business development professionals. Held in the fall.
Jobs include: program development, publicity, logistics, exhibitor coordination, food planning, ushering, scheduling, graphic design, and editing.

Membership Committee
Help us increase chapter membership and participation though acquisition and retention initiatives. We work closely with other committees to coordinate a range of activities designed to increase membership value.
Jobs include: corporate outreach, member recruiting, new member follow-up, cross-chapter liaison, event support, administrative support, and other recruitment/retention initiatives.

Event Logistics Committee
Help us with registration and logistics for all chapter events. The committee works closely with the Speaker Series, Proposal Basics Boot Camp, and Mid-Atlantic Conference committees.

Networking Committee
Help us research and set the standards for networking within the proposal community. This includes networking at APMP-NCA events and setting up other events around the metro DC area. We work closely with both the Speaker Series and Membership Committees.

Executive Summary E-zine Committee
Help us prepare our quarterly e-zine, plus a special February edition.
Jobs include: selecting articles and identifying potential article authors; maintaining the schedule, communications, and project workspace; assembling the mock-up in Word, including updates to the announcements and recurring information; collecting submitted ads and articles; writing announcements; copy editing; desktop publishing with InDesign; reviewing and redlining the drafts; and preparing monthly progress reports.
